What an enormously controversial subject bodybuilding is.
Some authorities promote a long work out. Others short. Some reckon and the use of heavy weights – some, light weights. Yet others, promote the use of steroids and they have proved to have an effect upon the body. Unfortunately many people have abused them and suffered the consequences.
I suppose it is, really rather nice, to look impressive for the girls, when parading along the local beach, but the gym often becomes a part of one’s life, as one’s bodybuilding efforts progress and one notices improvements in the building of the body and mind. Body-building can actually be a self-fulfilling quest. Some people prefer to exercise alone, using videos, CDs, or books. Yet others need to work with personal coaches and welcome critiques and comments of other people in the gym, to help construct the optimum body building work, to suit a person’s individual needs.
There is never just one body building work regime for any particular person. Look around you. You have tall people, skinny people, short people, fat people and really obese. You have many different shaped friends and some are perhaps even anorexics. Then you have short bodies, long upper bodies, broad of bodies, muscular bodies and thin, weak bodies. Every imaginable body type may be found at a gym, or exercising to improve their particular shape. There is no one workout that would be perfect for every kind of body. You should develop an individual body building regimen, to which you can associate and in which you feel comfortable. Some bodybuilders concentrate on a upper body muscles. Some on the lower. Often using the treadmill constantly, will not the only improve the shape and the strength in the lower body, but also help the upper.
Even when using a personal trainer, sometimes there is very little appreciable gain1 in the muscle mass. People would be getting stronger and able to lift more, but they would still lack the muscle bulk they sought.
Some trainers would recommend the use of body building supplements. There is no doubt that when used sensibly with the correct workout programme, body building supplements can help build new muscle. Body building supplements replace vitamins, minerals, proteins, etc which are lost when a person goes on a vigorous exercise programme. Your trainer may be able to help you list some products that are essential. Then it would be up you to research the correct ones for yourself. You can do this on the internet. eBay would be another good avenue to explore. Perhaps, simply going to your local supermarket and read the labels on the body building supplement products. Then, go back and ask your trainer, what he would recommend. Ask other people in the gymnasium, who have already achieved the results you seek. You may wish to use a body-building supplement for a particular sport that you aret be interested in – such as American football.
Be aware that some of these body-building supplements can be quite expensive. In fact they could cost $100, or more, for a supply lasting a mere one month. My recommendation would be for you again to return to the internet and do a search on Google.

Alternatively, you may wish to look into the limited use of steroids for body-building. In fact, one of the books I have on my website at blah blah blah blah, deals with that exact subject. The writer of that ebook recommends the use of strictly limited quantities of steroids for in body building. He warns people about over usage of steroids. He cites that just about anything can be abused: aspirin; salt; sugar; weight-loss products and others.
